Happy Easter!
Easter is not just one of the most important holidays of the year.
This is the moment when the heart opens to light, faith and good feelings. When the family gathers at the table, and the house smells of fresh Easter cake, happiness and love. And especially for the holiday - we share with you a delicious, slightly unusual, but very gentle recipe: Easter cake with mayonnaise - soft, fluffy and fragrant!
Ingredients:
• 500 g flour
• 3 eggs
• 150 g sugar
• 100 g mayonnaise
• 150 ml milk
• 1 packet vanilla sugar
• 1 packet dry yeast (or 25 g fresh)
• pinch of salt
• raisins or candied fruits — optional
Preparation:
1. Dissolve the yeast with 1 tsp. sugar in warm milk and leave for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
2. Beat the eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla sugar.
3. Add the mayonnaise, mix.
4. Add the yeast mixture, then gradually add the sifted flour.
5. Knead a soft dough — it may be a little sticky, this is normal.
6. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours.
7. Add raisins (pre-steamed) or candied fruits, knead again.
8. Divide into molds 1/3 full, let rise for another 30–40 minutes.
9. Bake at 180°C for about 30–40 minutes until golden brown.
10. Decorate with glaze and sprinkles if desired.
